Country star Colt Ford is in the ICU after suffering a heart attack after his show, according to a statement released by his team.
The singer’s team told TMZ that Ford is currently hospitalized at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. He was transported there after performing at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert on Thursday evening.
A representative told the outlet that Ford is currently in stable condition.
In 2022, the singer was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease. It is unknown whether Ford’s condition was a contributing factor to the heart attack at this time.
Myasthenia Gravis disorder “affects the muscles in your face, your eyes, and your throat. It hadn’t really affected my throat, but it really affected my eye. I had no control over my right eye. It really messes with your vision. I could see perfectly out of either eye, but then I would look together and I’d see three of you and you would be melting together like a lava lamp,” Ford informed Taste of Country in 2023.
